Mayor Herkner announced�the public <br /> heari.ng on the Resolution of Preliminary Determination to Make Certain Improvements on <br /> Harding Avenue. The affidavit of publication and posting was ordered filed. There be- <br /> ing no protest v�ritten or oral, public hearing was closed on motion of Councilman Bxit- <br /> schgi, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carrie d. <br /> RESOLUTION 1?31} �F PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY, HARDING AVEDtUE. Councilman Spillers <br /> offered the resolution and mQVed adoption, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried on <br /> roll ca11. <br /> RESOLUTION 1735 ADOPTING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, HARDING AVENUE. Public hearing of resolution get for August 23. <br /> Councilman Spillers offered the resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman <br /> Stout and carried. <br /> RESOLUTION 1737 ADOPTING WAGE SCALES, HARDING AVENUE. Offered by Councilman Stout who moved <br /> adoption, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried on ro].1 call. <br /> RESOLUTION 1?38 ORDERING CALL FOR BIDS, HARDING AVENUE. Resolution offered b�t Councilman <br /> Jones who moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br /> ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE AMII�TDING ORDINANCE N4. 600, ADDING P-1 AND P-2 DISTRICTS. R�taayor Herkner <br /> announced that thia was the time set for public hearing. Mr. Robart De11�Ergo appeared <br /> to represent the local Pharmacy Association ob�ecting to the inclusion in the proposed <br /> ordinance of the words, "Prescription Pharmacies accessory to medical offices or clinics.� <br /> � <br /> Mr. De11�Ergo contended that the establishment of this type of business in other than <br /> � .� <br /> business and commercial areas would be unfair to the local druggist and pharmists who <br /> are operating in areas requiring high rentals and ma,intenance costs. Councilman Spill- <br /> ers atated that the item had already been noted by msmbers of the Council, and the de- <br /> letion had been diacussed. Councilman Britschgi suggested postponing the adoption of "�""1 <br /> the ordinance for two weeks, and the matter be referred back to the Planning Commission ��+ <br /> for their statement as to why the item was included. City Attorney Currie advised there <br /> was some doubt that the Plannin� Coffinission would hold a meeting with full quorum at <br /> present due to vacations. Councilman Stout �hen moved the matter be postponed to the <br /> meeting of Sept�mber 7, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried. Councilman Spill- <br /> ers then moved that the matter be referred back to the Planning Commj.ssion for more <br />
