The Clerk read Mr. Sproults letter regard3.ng the tide gate dam structure at the mouth of Redwood Creek. After listenin� to Mr. Sproul� s letter, Councilman Spillers moved that since we have an Engineering Depart- � ment that all correspondenee be turned over to them and Mr. Adamson for study, seconded by "�'" Councilma.n Stout. Mr. Sproul stated that he had a pencil sketch and he would like to have Mr. Jain and I�r. Adamson check his plan which would be �2,000.00 cheaper than their pre- sent plan, and his method could be done in three weeks thus cutting down two months from the present plan. He sug�ested that fill be used in place of piles. Councilman Spillers stated that Mr. Sproul should not bring any of these xnatters up before the Council and should take these problems up with the Engineer and Engineering Department. City Engineer Jain stated that he didntt think that we should impose on Mr. Adamson since this plan isntt a good type of footing and has been turned do�nrn by the Engineering Department and Mr. Adam- son. Motion carried. Councilman Granger stated that iVlr. Sproul should be congratulated for his interest in the project even though his ideas are not used.
