Improper wiring on Neon sign. <br /> 9. Plumbin� is old and in very poor condition. <br /> 10. Roof on main building and porch in very poor condition. <br /> �,,, 11. Roof on porch �hich extends six feet on north side of t he rnain buildin� and <br /> part of stora�e room is deteriorated and in such a bad condition it becomes <br /> � a safety hazard. <br /> 12. This building is in the First Fire Zone and cannot be made to complg with <br /> the building and fire regulations. <br /> Mr. .Kreiss further stated that the building could not be reconditioned and should be razed. <br /> Fire Chief Lodi was sworn in and testified that he had examined the premises and was of the <br /> � <br /> opinion that due to deterioration buildin� constituted a fire hazard. RESOLUTION 1765 <br /> � ORDERING ABATEMENT OF KRANTZ PROPERTY, 1679-1681 MAIN STREET, WITHIN THIRTY (30) DAYS <br /> was offered by Councilman Spillers who moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Jones and <br /> carried on roll call, Councilman Gran�er noted absent. Affidavit of posting and mailing <br /> are ta be made a part of the record. <br /> REPORT COUNCILMAN SPILLERS REGARDING SERVICE ROAD BAYSHORE FREEWAY. Councilman Spillers reported <br /> that he had contacted Assemblyman Dolwig in re�ard to extending the service road from �econd <br /> Avenue to Marsh Road and had been informed that the Council should pass a resolution inform- <br /> ing the State of their desires. This should be done while it is in the working sta�e and <br /> before it goes to Sacramento. RESOLUTION 1766, ADVISING DIVISIOA OF HIGHWAYS OF CITYtS <br /> REQUEST FOR A SERVICE ROAD FRO� SECOND AVENUE TO NlARSH ROAD ON THE WEST SIDE OF THE FREEINAY <br /> was offered by Cou�cilman Spillers who moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Britsch�i. <br /> '""�" City Engineer Jain stated that there was a need for a service road on the east side, espec- <br /> �.� ially in the vicinity of Friend Industrial Tract No. 2 which �rould have no access to Bay- <br /> shore Fiighway whatsoever. The State is taking a good portion of this property for the over- <br /> pass for Spruce Street ramp. Councilman Britschgi stated that this had no bearing on the <br /> present subjeet to which Mr. Jain replied that he mentioned it because it might bee too <br /> late if they wait any longer. Councilman Jones stated that �re should include both sides now <br /> in our request for service roads. Councilman Stout asked if the Engineers could draw up a <br /> sketch and make this an overall plan. Councilman Spillers was of the opinion that they <br /> should be incorporated as one, City Li.mite to Second Avenue on East side and from Second <br /> Avenue to Marsh Road on the West side. Councilman Stout is in favor of the reaolution but <br /> thinks that we should have further study. City Engineer Jain stated he could not make <br /> better plans than what the State has and that the Council should ask that the plans include <br /> �,,,,,, any service road which the Council might be interested i-n. Coian.cilman Britschgi asked whet- <br /> � her we should contact the County and see- if they would be willing to go along with the Coun- <br /> cil� s thoughts in the matter of continuing the service road from Second Avenue. Mayor Herk- <br /> ner su�gested that they pass this motion and then have City Attorney draw up resolution to <br /> carry out the plan of service roads in and about the City of Redwaod City. The motion was <br /> � <br /> restated requesting the State Hig�.way to include in their plans a service road from Second <br /> � <br /> Avenue to Marsh Road on the west side. The motion was carried on roll call, Councilman <br /> Gran�er noted absent. RESOLIITION 1767, REQUESTING 5ERVICE ROAD ON THE EAST SIDE OF THE <br /> FREE{�fAY FROM SECOND AVENUE TO HARBOR BOIILEVARD OR TO THE APPROACH OF THE OVERPASS �as offered <br /> by Councilman Spillers who moved adoption� seconded by Councilma.n Royer. Gity Engineer Jain <br /> stated that the resolution should read that there shouid be a service road to service all <br />
