City Attorneq Currie will report further on the matter. <br /> Motion carried. <br /> COUNCILMAN SPILLERS ANNOUNCED THAT THE STATE HIGHWAY DEPART����NT was installin.g the Stop <br /> Lights at Roosevelt Avenue and E1 Camino Real starting today. <br /> aLD SHACK ON FRANKLIN STREET one lot from Jefferson Avenue owned by Davies Auto Company. <br /> City Clerk Dod�e read the inspection report. The following were the findinga: <br /> 1. 8 x 14 ahed made of board and batten and rustic. � <br /> 2. No f oundati:on. � <br /> . Roofing gone. <br /> . Leaning badly. <br /> . Full of rubbish. <br /> 6. Potential rat harbor. <br /> 7. Potential fire hazard. <br /> 8. In No. 1 Fire Zone, does not comply. <br /> 9. Building on property line. <br /> 10. Lot at rear of buildin� full of �unk. <br /> It was recornmended by the three department havin� made the inspeetion that the shed be <br /> demolished and lot cleared. Councilman Spillers moved that the building be posted, <br /> seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. Councilman Britschgi commented on the <br /> condition of the lot on which was stored old and wrecked automobiles and suggested <br /> steps be taken to enforce clean up of this lot. City Attorney Currie stated that this <br /> was probably an_ eyesore rather than a nuisance and he suggested that Mr. Davies be con- <br /> tacted in an effort to have the matter cleaned up. Councilman Britsehgi then rnoved Mr. � <br /> s <br /> Davies be notif ied that unless the premises are cleaned up the City will take necessary � <br /> steps to abate the condition, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carrisd. <br /> BUILDIGN INSPECTOR DIINCAN HAD NOTIFIED MR. R. D. SIPFORD regarding the Old Real Estate Office <br /> located ont eh corner of Jefferson Avenue and Alameda de las Pul�as and t he following <br /> � <br /> conditions were reported: <br /> i. Has no f oundati on. ""� <br /> 2. Building leaning. <br /> �. Doors and windoaes are missing. <br /> . Portion of shingles are gone from roof. <br /> 5. Rustic on sides broken. <br /> 6. Flooring broken. <br /> It was recommended that the building be razed and lot cleared. Mr. Siff'ord had been <br /> so notified on December 9th at which time h.e was given an opportunit y to raze the <br /> building and clean up the lot but inasmueh as nothing had been dor�e to date, Councilman <br />
