VERA ASKIN APPEAL TO PLANNING COMMISSION GRANTING USE PERMIT FOR SERVICE STATION AT JEF- FERSON AND MIDDLE FIELD 80AD. In order to expedite the matter Councilman Royer moved that public hearing be set for Monday, November 8th, seconded by Councilman Spillers and �' carried. Councilm.an Granger requested that all departments be prepared to answer any ques- � tiona that might arise and any information available be ready for the study meeting Friday at 1�:00 P.M. City Nlanager Rolison advised that Standard Oil are preparing maps which will be at hand. � RECOMMENDATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS, COUNCILMEAt AND DEPARTIV�NT HEADS. � COUNCILMAN GRANGER SUGGESTS THAT THE PARK DEPARTIV.�NT SURVEY EL CAMINO REAL in an effort to se- cure planting locations which will not effect present busineas. Councilman Britschgi, called attention to potted trees in tY�e City of Burlingame which are removable and ap- peared to be quite attractive. Councilman Granger moved that the Park Department con- duct the surve9 of E1 Camino Real and give some thought to Councilman Britschgits sug- gestion. Councilman Britschgi seconded the motion which carried. MRS. VERA ESKIN REPORTS THAT THE UNITED AIR LINES HAVE GIVEN PERMISSION TO PLANT SEVEN TREES AT THE SOUTH ENTRANCE. She requeats that the Park Superintendent be allowed to accom- pany her in looking over the arrangement in Palo Alto along the Railroad right-of-way, which appears to be a very attractive pro�ram. COUNCILMAN JONES REPORTED THAT THE DAVIES AUTO C0. ON FRANKLIN STREET WAS STILL IN NEED OF A � CLEAN-UP. He was advised that Mr. Davies had applied through the Planning Commission for a use permit ta, erect a fence which will enclose the area in which the junkies are stored. � COUNCILMAN GRANGER CALLED ATTEN TION TO A LETTER RECENTLY MAILED BY THE COUNTY REGAI�DING A NlEET- ING TO BE HELD ON NOVEMBER 4TH TO S'�UDY GARBAGE DISPOSAL MATTERS. City Clerk will check and inform members of the Council. COUNCILNtAN BRITSCHGI AGAIN BROUGHT UP FOR DISCUSSION THE MEED FOR PROPER DRAIIdAGE AT SPRUCE STREET AND MIDDLEFIELD ROAD. City Manager and City �ngineer were requested to study this matter and prepare a report for the November 8th meeting. CITY CLERK REPORTED ON A TELEPHONE CONVERSATION U9ITH PORT MANAGER McCARL in which was a request for the members of the City Council to meet with the members of the Port Connnission and discuss details of the forthcoraing bond election. The day for this meeting will be de- cided upon in the near future. APPROVAL CALIFQRNIA PACIFIC TITLE INSURANCE �0 MPANY APPLICATION TO RESUBDIVIDE PROPERTY ON ��" BROADWAY AND MILLS WAY SO AS TO CHANGE BOUNDARIES. The property involved is West of Lot. l, 4 � Block 5, Redwood Industrial Tract 2 and East of Lot l, Block 2, Redwood Industrial Tract l. Councilman Granger moved approval, subject to property owners paying additional sewer lateral. Motion seconded by Councilma.n Jones and carried. �� APPROVAL CALIFORNIA PACIFIC TITLE INSIIRANCE CO MPANY APPLICATION RESUBDIVIDE DOUGLAS AND BROAD- u.� WAY. �e property involved is Lot l, Block 8 Redwood Industrial Tract 2. Councilman Jones moved approval sub�ect to (1) Restricting 5� easement so that no buiiding can ever be constructed thereon. (2) Owner to pay for any additional sewer laterals.
