A reply was received <br /> stating that their resignation was not due to any shortcomings of the Chamber of Com- <br /> merce and exonerating them from any criticism. City Attorney Currie stated that he had <br /> attempted to secure some definite inf ormation but inasmuch as the officials were out of <br /> �:..w � town, suggested this be deferred until definite information could be received. Coun- <br /> � �, <br /> cilman Royer was of the opinion that the matter should be referred to the Planning Com- <br /> mission to check into the poaaibility of plan lines. If plan lines have not been set <br /> in the past it was suggested t hat steps be taken immediately to establish such lines. <br /> Councilman Royer then moved that the matter be referred to the Planning Commission to <br /> � check into the plan lines as suggested above, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and <br /> ��, <br /> carried. <br /> RESOLUTION No. 163�}. AUTHORIZING FIRST SUPPLEMENTAL MEMQRANDU�I OF AGREEMENT F�R EXPENDITURE <br /> OF GAS TAX ALLOCATION FOR MAJOR CITY STREETS was offered by Councilman Spillers and <br /> moved for ado�tion, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried unanimously on roll <br /> call. <br /> RESOLUTION No. 1635 TRANSFERRING �133.88 FROM IINBUDGETED RESERVE TO FENCE ON BRIDGES for <br /> Maddux Drive �51}.88, for Ma�yland Street �79.00 was offered by Councilman Herkner and <br /> moved for adoption, seconded by Councilwoman Tinney and carried unanimously on roll call. <br /> RESQLUTION No. 1636 DECLARING VARIOUS INTERSECTIONS STOP INTERSECTIONS and directing the <br /> erection of Stop Signs as follows: <br /> On Roosevelt Avenue, Carson Street, Goodwin AQenue, Massachusetts Avenue, at Fernside <br /> " Street; Goodwin Avenue, Massachusstts Avenue, MeGarvey Avenue, stop sign on Maddux <br /> � Drive at Alameda de las Pulgas; Maddux Drive, Garolina Avenue at Maryland Street; <br /> Maryland Street, Maddux Drive, Kentucky Street, stop sigan on Connecticut Drive at <br /> Massachusetts Anenue; Carson Street, Goodwin Avenue, Washington Avenue, at Maddux Drive; <br /> Anamor Strest at Virginia �venue and at Kentucky Street; Connecticut Drive at Roosevelt <br /> Avenue; stop sign on Valota Road at Jefferson Avenue; Grand Street and Iris Street at <br /> James Avenue. City Attorney Currie advised this <br /> was in conformance with the new State Law setting new delinquent Tax Dates. Council- <br /> man Jones moved introduction of ordinance, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br /> INTRODUCTION aRDINANCE AMENDING ORDINANCE RELATING TU OFFICE HOURS IN CITY OFFICES. This <br /> ,�,_� ordinance wi1T discontinue the former practice of keeping City Collector� s office open <br /> on Saturdays prior to final tax paym9nt dates. The Ordinance was introduced by Coun- <br /> �, � <br /> cilman Herkner, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. • <br /> MARKSt RADIO TOWER, 105 Inner Circle. Mayor Granger reported that the $uilding Inapector <br /> had checked this tower again. Mr. ll�arks had agreed to broadcast at 35 foot height, <br /> „e..� <br /> ho�►ever, it appeared that there was a �rire leaving the tower 33 feet high, and 30 feet <br /> �" " high at the end. Then followed discussion whether or not this sli�ht difference would <br /> constitute a violation. Councilman Britschgi wondered whether or not this aituation <br /> could be classed as a public nuisance, however, City Attorney Currie stated that the <br /> Council had no control over the situation inasmuch as the Federal Communications <br /> Commission had full authority. After further discussion, Councilman Britschgi moved <br /> that the City Clerk write 11�r. Marks and inform him oP the findings of the result of <br />
