Royer, Hiram S. Stout, Robert V. Spillers, Mayor Sidney D. Herkner and City Clerk R. S. *� Dodge. Councilman Jones noted absent. Also present were City Manager E. A. L, Winter, Administrative Assistant Orrin E, - Wendling, Building Inspector S. H. Kreiss, Assessor-Auditor John J. Brophy and City Col- � lector Paul E. Perrin. � � PUBLIC HEARING - ADOPT TRUCK ROUTE ORDINANCE #781. Affidavit of publication was ordered filed. Ma.yor Herkner stated that the claim had been made that he was opposed to the Truck Qrdin- ance. The minutes of the meeting of October 25, 195�. indicate that t he entire Council voted unanimously on introduction of the ordinance. City Attorney Currie explained the ordinance in detail for the benefit of the persons present in the audience. Mr. Clarence Brown of 115 Alameda addressed the Council, expressin� the approval of' the residents of Alameda and Iliihipple to the ordinance as it was presented. �r. L. Weiss, Mr. Hubert Brown and Mr. I, Wheeler also spoke as heartily endorsing the ordinance. After reading a co�nunication from Harry Hoefler Realty Company favoring the ordinance, Councilman Spillers moved Public Hear- ing be closed, seconded by Councilman Britsch�i and carried. Councilman Spillers moved ad- option of the ordinance #781, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried on roll call, Coun- cilman Jones noted absent. � ADOPT ORDINANCE REZONE LOT 7, BLOCK 2, JEFF'ERSON ACRES, #600.48. Affidavit of publication was `�"' orclered filed. Public Hearing was announced and there being no protests written or oral, Councilman Royer moved hearing be closed, seeonded by Councilman Spillers and carried. Councilman Spillers moved adoption of ordinance, seconded by Cauncilman Britsch�i and carried on roll call. Councilman Jones noted absent. CITY IIJGINEER JAIN RECOMMENDI�Ti G ANNEXATION PROPERTY CONTAINING DRAINAGE CHANNEL SERVING REDWOOD INDUSTRIAL TRACT N0. 2. The annexation of this property will make possible the cancel- lation of future County taxes. It developed that the cost of this annexation would be approximately �150.00. Councilman Stout moved that the City Attorney institute the necessary annexation proceedings, seconded bg Councilman Spillers and carried. CITY ENGINEER JAIN RECOMMENDS ACCEPTANCE OF BROADWAY SIDEU�ALKS. The recormnendation included pro- visions as follows: p-�* 1. It is recomrn,ended that this project be accepted sub�ect to correction of any de- fects in materials and workmanship which might appear within one ;�ear from date � � of acceptance, and sub3ect to correction of any�work required by the City Council after the public hearing on this pro�ect. 2. This acceptance shall- also be sub3ect to paym�ent of the sum of �71.17 owned the City by the contractor for damages to the fire alarm circuits and to an electro- � 1-ier standard during the progress of the work. "`"�'' Couneilman Granger moved approval, sub�ect to the provisions as noted, seconded by Council- �. man Royer and carried. CITY MANAGER ROLISON RE: IDdPROVEIV�NT OF CITY DUMPS. City Manager Rolison and City Engineer Jain made a further _inspection and both are of the opinion that there is very little to be done at the present location, also they did not feel that the present operator who is payin� a monthly rental of �85.00 should be called upon to do much more than he is now doing. ,. w.�.:...„�,��.�.::...,.... _ - _
