This matter has been set over to <br /> the meeting of RTovember 29th to allow time for study. City Atto'rney will bring in a pro- <br /> posed amendment to the zoning ordinance and a Public Hearing wi11 be set. <br /> RESTAURANT APPLICATIONS, 39 MANZAN ITA AND �.0 LAUREL IN C-3 DISTRICT. Councilman Britschgi cal- <br /> led attention to the intention of the City Council at previous meeting to su�gest to the <br /> Planning Coirnnission that the area in which this restaurant wrill be located mi�t be re- <br /> zoned from C-3 to C-2 and thereby furnish the City Council some control� over the issuance <br /> of liquar license. After further discussion Councilman Britschgi moved that the City <br /> Council submit this question to the Planning Commission in time for their meeting of <br /> � <br /> November 23rd. Motion seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. <br /> REPORT ON 1t+�CHANICAL SCHQOL CROSSING SIaNS. Chief Wood advises that the offer had been made <br /> � <br /> by the Perpetual Signal Company of Fresno, California to make a temporary installation of <br /> a set of these signals on a thirty-day trial basis at no cost to the City. He recommends <br /> that this offer be accepted and that a set of these signals be installed at Alameda and <br /> Vera to be operated by a school safstyr patrol under the supervision of tfie school crossing <br /> guard assigned to this location. Councilman Jones moved approval of Chief Wood�s recom- <br /> mendation, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br /> TRANSFER ORIGINAL RESTAURANT L ICENSE FROM H. GAMBERS Ta VIRELLI AND McMAHAN. BUILDING <br /> SUPERINTENDENT REPORT. Original restaurant application which was approved by the <br /> Council last August was in the name of H. Gambers, 3070 Bayshore H ighway. The Board <br /> of Equalization application for on-sale liquor license is in the name of Zirrilli <br /> and McMahofl and the address shown as 3118 Bayshore �Boulevard. This application car- <br /> � <br /> ries the information that Mr. H. Gambers is a limited partner, not to appear on the <br /> � <br /> license. The present application for restaurant license is in the name of Zirrillo <br /> and McMahon. Mayor Herkner statsd that he had looked th e premises over which appeared <br /> to be in the nature of a cocktail bar. Councilman Granger moved that the City Mana- <br /> �"" ger designate someone to investigate this situation a nd report back to t he meeting <br /> �rrr of November 29th.
