LANDS ASSOCIATION (202 Francia Lane). The conditions of <br /> the rezoning are as follows: � <br /> 1. Owner to pay for all sewer laterals. <br /> 2. 4wner to agree in rovriting to bear his share of cost of <br /> any sewer necessary to serve other properties on Francis Lane. <br /> �„ �. Qwner to grant easement for present sewer. <br /> . Owner �o deed seven t7) foot widening strip, <br /> �"' The condition #3 has already been met and the deed called for in condition #4 has been deli- <br /> vered to the City Clerk. Councilman Britschgi moved approval of the Planning Commission <br /> � <br /> recommendQtion, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. Councilman Britschgi moved that <br /> �.•. the City Clerk be authorized to accept the deQd to the seven (?) foot widening strip, sec- <br /> ;� onded by Councilman Granger and carried. <br /> PROGRESS ESTIAgATE CLIFFORD AND BODENHAMER, JEFFERSON AVENUE BRIDGE. This is the fourth and <br /> final paymsnt amounting to �6,021.02. 10� retention amounting to �1,843•30 will be with- <br /> held for the period of thirty-five (35) days. Councilman Stout moved approval of payment, <br /> seconded by Councilman Jones. City Engineer Jain advisea that part of the sidewalk will <br /> be paid by the P.G.&E. and The Pacific Telephone & Telegraph Company in addition to the <br /> portion to be paid from the Gas Tax Funds. Motion carried. <br /> COUNCIL APPROVAL OF DIVISION OF HICTHWAYS RE-ROUTING BAYSHORE FREEWAY. Matter held over to the <br /> meeting of November 29th to allo�v the City En�ineer to make certain checks and ad3ustments <br /> on. motion of Councilman Britschgi, seconded b;� Councilma.n Stout and carried. <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS: COUNCIL AND DEPARTNlEPTT HEADS. <br /> � <br /> COUNCILMAN BRITSCHGI SUGGESTED THE POSSIBILITY OF "WAIT AND T�ALKn SYSTEM AT BROADWAY AND EL CAM- <br /> INO for the benefit of High School students crossing at this intersection. Matter was re- <br /> � � ferred to the Traffic Study committee for a report in three or four weeks. Councilman <br /> Britschgi inquired as to when the parkin� lot across from the, City Hall �vould be completed. <br /> City Engineer requeated authority to seal the balance of the l,ot before attempting to stripe <br /> the area. Councilman Stout moved authority be granted, seconded by Councilman Britschgi <br /> and carried. The matter of discussion as to whether or not lot �ill be metered, free, <br /> time limit, or otherwise, will be decided at t�he study meeting of November 29th. <br /> COUNCILMAN GRANGER COMMEN TED ON THE POOR LIGHTING FACILITIES AROUND THE PRESENT COURT HOUSE AND <br /> _ . SUGGESTED THAT YHE TAKE SOAI� STEPS TO INIl'ROVE THIS SITtTATION. Councilman Granger also sug- <br /> gested that the County Board of Supervisors be contacted to the end that the new Court House <br /> area eventually be electroliered. After further discussion Councilman Granger moved that <br /> the Council Street Light Comrnittee meet with the County� Manager or his representative and <br /> """� discuss this matter. Motion seconded by Councilman Jones and earried. Councilman Britschgi <br /> '� discussed the poss3.bility of installation of flood lights in front of the City Hall and also <br /> suggested the possibility of flood lighting in the new Hall of Justice building when it is <br /> completed. <br /> �.,., COUNCILMAN ROYER CALLED ATTENTIQN TO ZHE PROPOSED SALE OF LOTS 3 and 4, BLOCK 1, HOMESTEAD ADDI- <br /> � TION (�N REDWDOD NEAR GORDON� . The City Engineer is of the opinion these lots should be <br /> retained for creek improvement plan also Mr. Jain is doubtful if a sewer could be construc- <br /> ted deep enough, tQ clear the creek which crosses the front of the property. Councilman <br /> . Royer was of the opinion that we might sell the rear portion of these lots and ret�in the <br /> front, includin� the creek. Councilman Britschgi moved matter be referred to the Real <br /> Estate Committee to work out a solution with the City Engineer. Motion seconded by Coun- <br /> cilman Royer and carried. <br />
