Traffic Committee stated that tYiis interseetion has the highest frequency accident rate resulting in personal in3ury in the City and a large percentage of these aecidents are caused by left turning vehicles. It is the recormnendation of the committee that an ordinance be prohibiting left turns from Charter Str�eet and that a letter ba written to the State requesting that they prohibit left turns from Bayshore Highway at this point. Councilman Britschgi moved that t he City Manager secure State approval to the inst�llation of "No Left Turnt' signs as suggested, seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. ,.»�. City Atto�rney Currie advised that a green zone� as defined in the Traffic �rdinance was for twenty (20) minute periods. a A twelve (lZ) minute zone would require an amendment to the ordinance. Captain Faulstich is of �he opinion that the twenty (20) minute zone would be satisfactory, however, he su�gested a twelve (12) minute metered zone should be considered at a later date. Councilman Royer moved that the area for a distance of forty (�}0) feet on the south side of Fuller Street west from the intersection of Warren St- reet and for a distance of forty (�.0) feet on �he west side of Warren Street south from the intersection of Fuller Street be zoned on a twenty (20) minute basis. Motion seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. AUTHORIZE L. P. HOCKENSMITH REBUILD BERTH #33 YACHT HARBOR AT OWN EXPENSE. The commission re- corr�nends that he be permitted to rebuild #33 Pa�ing the usual rental fees. The city will �• not be responsible for any dama.ge to the boat and the necessary agree�ent is to be drawn up between Mr. Hockensmith and the City. City Attorney Currie advised that t he work should be � done under City supervision and under the direction of some competent person. The commission feels that Recreat3on �iTay is � not wide enoug�'� to be used as a Park Entrance nor is there ample parking area at this loca- tion.
