Building Inspector <br /> Kreiss reported that the original application for tentative approval had been sub- <br /> mitted by Mr. H. Gambers and the Council had approved this request on August 3otn. <br /> The Building Department issusd a permit for remodeling and alterin� the premises at 31i8 ^� <br /> Bayshore. Mr. Kreiss checked the pre mises Friday and the alterations are nearin� comp].e- „� <br /> tion, however, there was no equipment at hand as get and therefore inspection by the Health <br /> Department is not possible. Mr. Frank MeMa.�on, one of the opera�ors of the proposed bar <br /> and restaurant, addressed the Council advising that all equipment had been purchased and <br /> � <br /> was at hand waiting for the floor finishers to complete tY�.eir part of the contract. Equip- <br /> ..r� <br /> ment will be moved in and installation coramenced in a day or two or immediately after the <br /> floor is completed. It develops that the area in which this establishment is located is <br /> in a C-3-H district and the only control exercised by the Planning Commi.ssion would be <br /> approval of the parking space before opening for business. After further discussion Coun- <br /> cilma.n Stout moved tentative approval on the restaurant application, Councilman Granger <br /> seconded the motion on the grounds that no department head would state any objection. Fire <br /> Chief Ladi stated there was no inspeetion possible until after the equipment has been in- <br /> stalled. It was understood that Councilman Stoutts motion to approve the application <br /> include the condition that the equipment must meet the approval of the various department <br /> heads. Councilman Royer moved that two of the four wooden dressers <br /> be awarded to Charles E. Lovelace at �5.00. Also that t he City Mgnager be authorized to <br /> sell the remaining two dressers and five beds at the appraised price without re-advertising. <br /> Motion seconded by Councilman Stout and carried. <br /> CITY ATTORNEY CURRIE RE: PROGRESS LUMBER CONlPAI�tY ANNEXATION. City Attorney Currie advised that ""�^ <br /> Mr. Paul Merner had been in his office discussin� the matter of annexation a nd had submitted w,�, <br /> a tentative application for water service which �ill allow the installation of a sprinkler <br /> system. Mr. Merner will sign a letter agreeing to accept the provisions of t he annexation <br /> proceedings and is prepared to pay the �450.00 fee. The letter has already been signed <br /> � <br /> and is being held b y the City Clerk. Councilman Granger moved that t he City Attorney pro- <br /> � <br /> ceed with the necessary action, seconded by Councilman Ro�rer and carried. <br /> MR. JAMES JENSEN, JR. REQUESTED THE INFORMATION REGARDING THE PROPOSED REZONING OF THE BLOCK <br /> BOUNDED BY HEML4CK, EL CAMINO REAL, CENTRAL AND LINDEN and was advised that the Council <br /> . <br /> desired more time to study the matter before settin� the date for � Public Hearing.
