P. Walker (Seaside Distributor) 22.5 <br /> City Manager Rolison recommended acceptance of the low b3d of Shell Oil Company for 21.89 <br /> per gallon. Councilman Stout moved approval, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br /> � . <br /> 1'� TON FLAT-BED TRUCK FOR FIRE DEPARTIu�NT. Fire Chief Lodi recommended that bids be re�ected <br /> �`"° and new bids called for due to an error in preparing the specifications. These errors <br /> oecured when the Fire Department attempted to prepare specifications so that no dealer <br /> vrould be eliminated. City Manager Rolison concurred in Chief Lodits recommendation. <br /> Councilman Granger requested that no quotation be divulged in the interest of fairness <br /> to the bidders. City Manager Rolison advised that bids were opened in the presence of <br /> several dealers who were able to secure all of the �ompetitive bids. Mayor Herkner <br /> advised that one of the bidders had asked permission to address the Council in this matter <br /> and final aetion was held up in order that he might be given the opportunity to speak. <br /> PARKING LOT DISTRICT RESOLUTIONS. City Clerkts certificate indicatin� that petition for the <br /> formation of Parking District #1 exceeded 35� of proper�y in the district, was introduced <br /> and ordered filed. <br /> "`"'�" RESOLUTION 1806 OF APPROVAL AND AGREEMENT TO TERMS OF PETITION FOR FORMATION OF PARKING DISTRICT <br /> � #1 AND DIRECTING PREPARATION QF REPORT, PARKING DISTRICT #1 was read. After full discus- <br /> sion and consideration, Resolution was offered by Councilman Jones who moved adoption, <br /> seconded by Councilman ��as and carried unanimously on roll call. Councilmen Britschgi <br /> and Spillers noted absent. <br /> RESOLUTION 1807 OF PRELIMINARY APPR4VAL OF ENGINEERS REPORT PURSUANT TO T HE PARKII�G DISTRICT <br /> LAW OF 1951, PARKING DISTRICT #1� was read. Hearing was <br /> established for Monday, February 7, 1955� gfter full discussion and conaideration Council- <br /> � <br /> man Royer offered resolution and moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Granger and carrisd <br /> unanimously on roll call, Councilmen Britschgi and Spillers noted absent. <br /> INTRODUCTION OF ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING THE CITY COUNCIL AS THE PARKING AUTHORITY AND ALLOWING <br /> � <br /> CONDENINATION OF EACH PARCEL SEPARATELY was offered b9 Councilman Royer and seconded by <br /> � Councilman Jones. The City Attorney suggested that the Council read the report and other <br /> information as included in the pap�rs handed to each Councilman at t he start of the meet- <br /> ing. Mr. Orvil Pratt reprssenting the Chamber of Commerce requested that the tree pla nt- <br /> ing and landscaping be kept in mind as the Parking Lot plan progresses.
