This survey is conducted by authorized actuaries periodically and is a requirement <br /> � ' <br /> of the Gity under the present agreement with the State. Councilman Royer moved that City <br /> Manager be given the authority� to sign this agreement, seconded by Councilman Granger and <br /> carried. <br /> � AUTHORIZE CSTY CLERK ACCEPT DEED TO FIVE F40T (5� ) STRIP - ACED PROPERTY - INDUSTRIAL tEVAY. <br /> �`""'' Councilman Stout moved a <br /> pproval, seconded by Councilman Jones and carried. <br /> FINAL PAYMENT VIiEED SPRAYING, JOHN THROCKMORTON. Councilman Stout moned approval, seconded by <br /> Councilman Jones and carried. Councilman Granger discussed methods now being used by the <br /> City of Richmond and will mail a copy of the report to the City Manager who will check in- <br /> to the same and report at a later da�e. <br /> RESTAURANT APPLICATION - CQRONET RESTAIIRANT, 2614 BROADWAY. TRANSFER. Restaurant has been <br /> inspected by the H ealth, Fire, Building Inspector and Police Department. Councilman Gran- <br /> ger mc�ved approval, seconded by Councilman Roger and carried. <br /> RESOE;UTION 1811 APPROVING BAYSHORE FREEWAY AGREEI�NT, was offered by Councilman Granger vuho <br /> moved adoption, seconded by Councilman Royer. In answer to Councilman Stout�s question <br /> regarding any possible changeg in the freeway routes, City Engineer Jain advised that <br /> � the present route was still sub3ect to possible changes. Motion carried unanimously on <br /> ��, roll call, Councilmen Britechgi and Spillers noted absent. <br /> RECOMMENDATIONS AND SUGGESTIONS: COUNCILMEld AND DEPARTMENT HEADS. <br /> COUNCILMAN STOUT SUGGESTED THAT TRAFFIC OFFICERS WORKING AFTER DARK SHOULD 4�tEAR A �iITE BELT <br /> OR GATJNTLETS or anything of that nature whieh will make them more visible after daxk. <br /> Chief Wood will follow this suggestion. <br /> COUNCILMAN ROYER REPQRTED ON THE CARLETON TRACT stating that necessary property for easement <br /> could be purchased for a reasonable amount. The residence of the ad3oining area discussed <br /> the possibility of additional water being diverted on to their properties, but the City <br /> Engineer stated his opinion that while ther� might be a slight increase in the amount of <br /> water delivered no additional troubles should be experienced. The subdivider would be <br /> required to pay �160.00 per lot in addition to which he will provide a bond, therefore <br /> .�. <br /> it is proper for the City to aequire the drainage easement at t�e City� s expense. This <br /> easement will be approximately 10� x 257t and will connect the Carleton Tract to Kentfield <br /> � <br /> Avenue. Easement would be purchased from adjacent property owners, five feet from each <br /> ad�oining lot thus resulting in a reduced cost to the City and the least trouble to the <br /> property owners. City Engineer Jain also recornrnends that a water line be included in the <br /> � same easement. Councilman Royer then moved that the easement be pt�.rchased for a sum not <br /> �""' to exceed �750.00, seconded by Councilman Granger, and carried. Councilman Royer suggested <br /> that the City Engineer make a layout covering the entire area bounded by Vffoodside Road, <br /> Hudson Street, Virginia and Valota Road.
