Councilrr�an Jones <br /> then moved that the matter be placed on the agenda of February 8th, seconded by Council- <br /> man Royer and carried. <br /> CHIEF WOOD REPORTS ON PISTOL RANGE. Chief Wood stated that a training session was scYieduled <br /> ,-� <br /> some time during April under the supervision of a Fire Arms Instructor from the FBI. <br /> Each member of the departr,ent will_ be expected to fire 200 rounds during this session <br /> �. , <br /> or 8000 rounds for the departrrlent. Additional 8000 rounds will be required to take care <br /> of the training program during May and June . Chief Wood indicated that departmental <br /> reloads had proven to be the most eceno�nical� however� this necessitated the assignment <br /> �� of personnel to do the reloading work. It was his suggestion that to take advantage <br /> '`�� of the substantially lower cost of self-loaded ammunition� the qualified men doing this <br /> relaading be paid overtime. It would amount to approximately .�225.00. Councilman <br /> Herkner moved the appropriation of p225.00 be allowed, seconded by Councilwoman Tinney. <br /> City Manager Rolison advised that he approved this suggesticn and advised further payment <br /> to it be made from the existing salary budget. If it later developed trlat salary <br /> account needed to be reimbursed a transfer would be requested. Motion carried. <br /> ABATEMENT PAOLINO PROPERTY AT 422 MAPLE STREET. Building Inspector Duncan reported that the <br /> front portion of the building was still occupied, however , the owner, Louis Paolino, <br /> requested that the tenant be allowed additional time to enable them to locate another <br /> building. Councilman Britschgi moved the matter be duly and regularily continued to <br /> the meeting of March 1� 1954, seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br /> � - ABATEMENT OF GEORGE H. RICE PROPERTY AT 909-911 MAII�T 5TREET. Building Inspector advised that <br /> � <br /> the building at 909 Main Street is now vacant and the tenant in 911 Main Street expected <br /> to be moved within 30 days . Councilman Royer then moved abatement proceedings be duly <br /> and regularily continued to March lst, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br /> CONDITICN OF SIUEWALK ON BREIr1STER AVENUE BETWEEN ALAMEDA DE LAS FULGAS A1�'D STANLEY STREET. <br /> It appears that there is an uncompleted section of sidewalk which necessitates pedestrians <br /> using street �rea creating a considerable hazard. After discussion as to what steps <br /> could be taken to force property owner to construct sidewalk� Councilman Royer was <br /> appointed as a committee of one to contact property owners in an effort to settle the <br /> matter. <br /> CLAIM OF ANNA MACKENHOU�EN ALI,EGED INJURIES FROM FALL ON SIDEWAI.K NEAR 519 Grand Street. <br /> The claim was denied and referred to the insurance carrier on motion of Councilman <br /> � �, <br /> Britschgi , seconded by Councilman Herkner and carried. <br /> COMh`UNICAZ�ION FRGM A.
