The Planning Commission <br /> recommended denial for the reason that subdivision would result in two lots each of <br /> which would be less than the lot size requirement. Councilman Royer moved approval of <br /> the recommendation� seconded by Councilman J�,nes and carried. <br /> ��-� PLANNING COMMISSION'S RECOMMENDATIQN FOR APPROVAL TO RESUBDIVIDE LOTS '7 to 16, Block 1, <br /> �. k <br /> PORTOLA ADDITION (2032 Poplar Avenue) INTO THREE BUILDING SITES. Councilman Britschgi <br /> moved approval recommendation� seconded by Councilman Royer and carried. <br /> PLANNING COMNiISSION' S RECOMMENDATION FOR APPROVAL OF AD-APT CORPORATION'S REQUEST TC REZONE <br /> ,„.., <br /> Lot 9� Block 32, EASTERN ADLITION (Middlefield Road and Spruce Street) from R-4 to <br /> C-1-H. Planning Commission moved recommendation of approval after having held two <br /> � � <br /> public hearin�s as required by law. Councilman Britschgi moved the Council hold public <br /> hearing at the meeting of February 23rd, seconded by Councilwoman Tinney and carried. <br /> TRAFFIC FACZ' FINDING COMMITTEE RECOP�'�ENDED PASSENGER LOADING ZONE OI�r �rJEST SIDE OF CONNECTICUT <br /> DRIVE NEAR PALM AVENUE. The Traffic Fact Finding Committee' s recommendation was to <br /> establish a loading zone on the school side of Connecticut Drive near Palm Avenue to <br /> provide a s�ace for unloading school busses . Councilman Royer moved that recommendation <br /> be approved, seconded by Councilman Britschgi . This item will come within the juris- <br /> diction of the newly adopted Traffic Ordinance which authorizes establishing loading <br /> zones without further ordinances. Motion carried. <br /> MAYOR GRANGER COMMENTED ON THE PROPOSED BOND ISSUE WHICH WILL BE PLACED ON THE APRIL BALLOT. <br /> The City Attorney is now preparing the necessary resolutions . <br /> "� ^ COP�N`UNICATION FROM MR. TRESCOTT S . WHITE protesting the establishment of stop signs on <br /> � • Brewster Avenue at Opal and Hillview Avenues . Letter filed. <br /> DISCUSSION REGARDIlV'G STOP SIGNS ON BREWSTER AVENUE AT OPAL AND HILIVIEW AVENUES disclosed <br /> that few signs in this area are partially blocked by trees . It was decided that the <br /> Street Department will paint STOP AHEAD in the areas involved. <br /> THE CI'I'Y CLERK W�S DIRECTED TO NOTIFY THE SCUTHERN PACIFIC CONIPANY that northbound trains <br /> arriving at 4:45 P.�-' . almost invariably pull across and block Broadway crossing, on <br /> motion of Councilwoman Tinney, seconded by Councilman Jones . Motion carried. <br /> COUNCILMAN ROYER RE�UESTED INFCRP�IATION regardin� two hour parking on E1 Camino Real in the <br /> vicinity of Hoyt Pontiac Agency and was informed that the matter was covered in the <br /> new Traffic Ordinance. <br /> COUNCILMAN ROYER REQUESTED INFCRMATION from the City Attorney as to whether or not property <br /> �. .. on Valota Road, in the vicinity of National Guard Building, could be legally used for <br /> �� ., <br /> Boy Scout Building. <br /> CLAII�°S NUMBERED 12g44 to 13032 totaling ;�29� ?10.�0 were ordered paid on motion of Councilman <br /> Royer, seconded by Councilman Britschgi and carried. <br /> COUNCIL�fAN HERKNER MOVED ADJOURNMENT to Monday, February 8th, seconded by Councilman Britschgi <br /> �� <br /> and carried.
