It developed that the City had delinquest tax interest <br /> and the Cit,y requested that the School District pay �lOC for each lot , they to assume <br /> street assessments . Councilman Spillers so moved� seconded by Councilman Royer and <br /> carried. In the discussion that followed the City Attorney stated the next move was <br /> to the District Attorney. <br /> COUNCILMAN JONES NOTED Tu,AT Z'HE MINUTES of the regular meeting of February lst had been <br /> approved at the adjourned meeting of February 8th, it being his understanding that � <br /> � <br /> this should have been done at a regular meeting . City Attorne,y Currie stated that <br /> normally this would be done and the better procedure would be to apprcve both the regu- <br /> lar and adjourned minutes as one unit, however� in the present instance this action was <br /> legal. Mr. Jack � <br /> � <br /> Perrins of 3221 Jefferson Avenue appeared to protest the rezoning, it being his con- <br /> tention that location of a service station on the corner of Jefferson Avenue and <br /> Alameda de las Pulgas would devaluate his property immediately adjacent. Mr. Perrins <br /> was of the opinion that the entire block facing Jefferson Avenue should be rezoned to '"'� <br /> • business rather than Lots 3 and 4 located on the corner of Jefferson Avenue and Alameda •� <br /> de las Pulgas . Mr. Perrins stated that he had not protested at the Planning Commission <br /> as he did not feel that his protest would have had any bearing . Mrs. Winifred Perrins <br /> also protested against what she called sFot zoning. It was called to her attention <br /> that the rezoning of this area was not spot rezoning but was � continuati on of the <br /> business zone already in exi�tence.
