Councilman Herkner was of t he opinion that an answer to the letter should be prepared so that the general public might be informed. After dzscussion, Council�nan Herkner moved that the City P�Zana�er prepare and have published in the Forum Column an answer to NTr. Sproul � s inaccurate statement, seconded by Councilman Britschgi. Motion carried Councilman Spillers voting N6, it being his belief that nothing would be gained by answering the letter in queation. City Collector Perrin advised the merchant had complied with the ordinance, had deposited the required bond, and had received a license. ,,,� COUNCiL��'AN ROYER DISC�JSSED BRIDGES on Fernsi_de and Carson Streets which were without the �.� �uards for the protection o.f children. Councilman Royer then moved that trie City P;Zanager be authorized to secure quotations, seconded by Councilworlan Tinney and carried. City Attorney Currie stated he wou].d be willing to undertake the procurement of ease- ments providing he was furnished sketch and proper descri.ptions . Councilman Britschgi then moved that the matter be referred to the City Attorney and City Engineer, seconded by Councilman Spillers and carried.
