" (b) The side yard along the side street lot line of <br /> a co=ner lot, which lot abuts in the rear the <br /> side lot line of a lot in any R District, shall <br /> have a width of not less than one-half the <br /> required depth of the front yard on such other <br /> lot fronting the side street, but in no event <br /> 2ess than ten feet. <br /> " (c) Whenever building setback lines shown on a final <br /> recorded subdivision map approved subsequent to the <br /> oriqinal effe�tive date of this ordinance provide for <br /> a different side yard on the street side of a <br /> corner lat than that required in this ordinance, <br /> thren said. side yard shall be as shown by the <br /> setback lines on said map notwithstanding any <br /> provisions in this ordinance to the contrary. <br /> "Section 32 .8 Exceptions to Height Limitations. <br /> Maximum height limitations set forth elsewhere in this <br /> ordinance shall not apply to: <br /> " (a) Church spires, belfries, cupolas, domes, fire <br /> and hose towers, windmills, chimneys, flag poles, <br /> parapst walls, television and radio reception <br /> ant�nn.as ax�d elevator penthouses. <br /> " (b) Barns, silos or other farm buildings or structures <br /> on farms provided they are not within 50 feet <br /> of any lot line. ' <br /> " (c) Places of public assembly, churches, schools <br /> and other permitted public and quasi-public <br /> buildings, provided that for each one foot by <br /> which the height of such building exceeds the <br /> maximum height otherwise permitted in the <br /> district, its side and rear yards shall be <br /> increased in width or depth by an additional <br /> foot over the side and rear yards required for <br /> _ _ the district. In no event shall the height of <br /> such building exceed 75 feet. <br /> "Section 32.9 Conditional Exceptions to Height <br /> Limitations. Maxi.mum heigh t limitations set forth elsewhere <br /> in this ordinance may be modif ied by the Commission for the <br /> following buildings and structures: <br /> " (a) Monuments, water towers, observation towers, <br /> smokestacks, radio towers, broadcasting masts <br /> � and aerials, water tanks, scenery lofts, cooling <br /> towers, gas holders or drive-in theater screens; <br /> provided however, that a use permit shall b� .�__t�;'. <br /> required in each case. <br /> " (b) In any R-5, CA, C�1, CB, CG, CP, IR, IP or GI <br /> District, buildings may be erected to a height <br /> - -12- <br />
