TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN ATTACHMENT 2 <br /> 7.1.A. - Page 31 REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> REDWOOD CITY MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES'ASSOCIATION <br /> RE: MOU CHANGES <br /> days prior to the tentative date on which the leave is to begin. Such notice shall <br /> include the tentative dates on which the leave shall begin and end. <br /> 18.6.2.2 Within thirty (30) days of the beginning of the maternity parental leave, the <br /> employee shall submit to the Human Resources DircctorPersonnel Officer the <br /> specific date he or she intends to begin the leave, accompanied by her <br /> • ...• . . .. .. and <br /> 18.6.2.3 Prior to the establishment of a specific date for return to duty, the employee shall•.• • - '• -• -• P' -• • � - = •-• :• e• - a notice of intention to <br /> return to duty, ---:••:. •- .'. ' •• _ •- <br /> 18.6.2.4 The Human Resources DirectorPersonnel Officer or his/her designee may <br /> designate the specific beginning and ending dates within the pay period <br /> requested by the employee to meet the needs of the employee and the City. <br /> 18.6.3 The employee on leave shall be returned to his or her original position, If that original position has <br /> been eliminated,applicable layoff and reemployment rules shall apply, <br /> 18.6.4 A maternity parental leave, absent physical disability, is granted without pay for the duration of <br /> leave. Where an employee has accrued paid vacation, NAVL, compensatory time, or sick leave, <br /> that paid leave may be substituted for all or part of any unpaid parental leave. The City may also <br /> require use of paid accrued leave during parental leave in accordance with City policy and <br /> FMLA/CFRA regulations. <br /> 18.6.5 The employee may elect to continue medical and dental insurance coverage for up to one (1) <br /> year during this leave. Medical and dental insurance coverage during any portion of parental <br /> leave that does not run concurrently with California Family Rights Act leave shall be at her—the <br /> employee's own expense. <br /> 18.6.56 -..: : -- _-- - . -_ ' .• _ - <br /> -_.-- •- - '• • - - - '• ' •'- • The foregoing Parental Leave provision shall be <br /> subject to applicable federal and state law.
