TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN ATTACHMENT 2 <br /> 7.1.A. - Page 37 REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> REDWOOD CITY MANAGEMENT EMPLOYEES' ASSOCIATION <br /> RE: MOU CHANGES <br /> notice or meeting with the Association, the City shall provide the Association such notice and the opportunity <br /> to meet and confer or consult on the impact of such ordinance, rule, resolution, or regulation at the earliest <br /> practical time following the adoption of such ordinance, rule, resolution,or regulation. <br /> Article 6: Layoff and Re-employment <br /> 6.2 Notification of Layoff <br /> The City shall notify the Association no less than fifteen (15) workingthirty (30) calendar days prior to any employee <br /> being laid off. Upon written request of the Association to the Human Resources DirectorPersonnel Officer, the City <br /> will meet to discuss the conditions causing the layoff and impact upon classifications in the bargaining unit. Such <br /> discussions shall be without recourse to the grievance procedure. <br /> Article 7: Personnel Files And Performance Evaluations <br /> 7.2 Frequency of Evaluation <br /> All regular unit members holding regular status shall be evaluated annually by October 1. Unit members <br /> • •e - - e. _-- , '_ •- - -- - -••-- . Probationary unit members shall be evaluated at <br /> the end of the sixth month, and within ten (10)days of the end of the probationary period. Upon certification <br /> to regular status, unit members shall be evaluated annually from the date of the six (6) month probationary <br /> period evaluation. <br /> 7.3 Annual Evaluation <br /> Employees shall receive an overall annual performance rating of "satisfactory", "exceeds standards," <br /> "outstanding"or"unsatisfactory," Once the employee's performance evaluation has been completed, it shall <br /> be presented to the employee for review and signature. An employee who receives an "unsatisfactory" <br /> evaluation will no�be ineligible to receive a merit salary increase under 16.3.1 until the employee receives <br /> an overall annual performance rating of"satisfactory" or higher. <br /> Article 8: Regular Part-Time Appointment <br /> 8.1 Regular part-time appointments may be made when there is part-time unit work to be performed on a <br /> regular and continuous basis, and u Such appointment requirespon certification by the department head to <br /> -• •- ---- •• • ' - -• • -:• to the Human Resources DirectorPersonnel Officer that the employee <br /> is to be scheduled to work continuously during a twelve (12) month period. Benefits, including life <br /> insurance, health insurance, dental insurance, vision care, vacations, sick leave and educational expense <br /> reimbursement shall be granted on a prorated basis computed by dividing the regularly scheduled hours <br /> each week by forty (40).
