7.1.A. - Page 57 TENTATIVE AGREEMENT BETWEEN <br /> REDWOOD CITY AND <br /> SERVICE EMPLOYEES INTERNATIONAL UNION LOCAL 521 <br /> RE: SUCCESSOR MOU <br /> .a a •• •. -•. --• L -.•. • • .. <br /> ARTICLE 22- HEALTH PLANS <br /> 22.1 Health and Cafeteria Plans <br /> 22.1.1 The City will contract with the California Public Employee's Retirement System (CaIPERS) <br /> for participation under the Public Employees Medical and Hospital Care Act (Government <br /> Code Section 22750, et, seq.), for the purpose of providing medical insurance benefits for <br /> workers, and workers who have retired from employment with the City and constitute <br /> "annuitants" as defined by PEMHCA. Upon the request of the City, the parties will re-open <br /> Article 22.1 to meet and confer on modifying 22.1 to provide a different group health plan. <br /> In the event the City exercises this option to re-open, the provisions of Article 30, No <br /> Strike, will not be in effect during the period of such re-opener discussions. <br /> 22.1.2 The City's maximum, monthly contribution for each eligible, active worker and annuitant for <br /> the purchase of medical insurance will be equal to the minimum monthly employer <br /> contribution required under PEMHCA ($108.00 per month for 2011; $112 for 2012($119 <br /> per month for 2014 and $122 per month for 2010[HL1]).
